eBook Collections

Where to find eBooks

There are several ways to access eBooks


  • You can access eBooks by going to the library webpage
  • Find the "A-Z Database" tab in the search box in the middle of the page.
  • You can scroll through the list to find the eBook collection you need.


  • You can access eBooks by going to the library webpage
  • Find the "Databases" tab in purple on the left hand side.
  • This area will provide an explanation for what each collection contains.
  • Just click on the collection you want!


  • When you are in a guide you will notice a "Databases" heading in the middle of the page.
  • There will be a list of corresponding databases.
  • If there is a corresponding eBook collection, it will be provided in this section.


  • When you are in a guide, you will notice a "search" box towards the top middle of of the guide.
  • In that search box, there is a tab called "databases." 
  • This will be a drop down menu and you will be able to choose the eBook collection you want to search.

Troubleshooting eBooks

You will notice in the top right corner there is a tab called "Ask a Librarian." This will take you the American National University FAQ page where you can search for questions or chat/email a librarian your question.

Internet Browser

In order for eBooks to work you will need the most update Internet Browser. If you find you are having difficulty with EBSCO eBooks, please make sure your browser is up to date.

Book is Unavailable

If the book is unavailable, a small box will pop up that will say book is in use. Someone else is currently reading that book. When they are done, it will become available again.
