The Writing Center is home to many valuable resources and guides that you might find useful for many assignments. A few resources and guides that you may find particularly useful are:

  • APA Style Guide- The APA Style Guide has hand-outs on formatting and color-coded citations.
  • Plagiarism Guide- This guide contains resources on understanding the types of plagiarism and how to avoid it.

  • Grammarly- This is a plagiarism and  grammar checker. Just insert or upload your writing assignment and it will tell you how similar (if at all) it appears to another work found on the internet as well as proofreading.
  • The OWL at Purdue: APA Formatting and Style Guide- This resource  offers examples for the general format of APA research papers, in-text citations, endnotes/footnotes, and the reference page.
  • The OWL at Purdue: General Writing Resources-  They offer tips on writing academic papers and common writing assignments, as well as tips on the writing process and the mechanics of a paper.
