Welcome to the Library Resources Guide

This guide is designed to showcase several of the University of Fairfax's most valuable library resources, as well as provide some basic information on important issues such as copyright policies and fair use.

In this guide you will find the information on the following resources and services:

  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL): Interlibrary Loan is a service that lets University of Fairfax students and faculty borrow resources from other institutions if they are not available through the UF Library's subscription resources . This new service is intended as a way to expand the library's research services and resources. Visit this page to find out more about the University of Fairfax's ILL policies and procedures.
  • Document & Citation Management: Looking for a better way to store your research documents? Need help creating citations? Head to the Documents & Citation Management page for links to tools that can help with both of these tasks, as well as a few resources on how to improve your academic writing.
  • Library Instruction: If you want to learn more about how to search the library's subscription databases, want to learn more about Boolean Searching, or need help with anything else, head to the Faculty Services page. Here you will find recorded videos and PowerPoint presentations on a variety of subjects, all designed to help familiarize you with the library's resources and help you with your studies.   • Copyright & Fair Use: This page provides several valuable resources designed to help students understand copyright policies and fair use laws more easily.
